Tony Marino joins the Scorpions Soccer Club as the Boys Director. Tony will be coaching the Boys U11 Premier, Boys U12 Elite, and the Girls U14 Elite teams during the 2009-2010 season.

Tony Marino comes to Scorpions with an impressive background in soccer- both as a coach, player and club administrator. In his most recent role, Tony Marino was the Director of Soccer for New England Sports Academy and Director of Coaching for NESA FC, New England Sports Academy's Premier Soccer Club. Tony has been at the helm of NESA's young club since January of 2008. Tony Marino had a hand in developing nearly every player within the 6-team club. His main coaching duties were Boys and Girls Juniors U6-U9, Boys U-10, and Girls U-13. NESA is based in Westwood, MA. Tony had also been on the collegiate scene at UMASS Lowell. He was on the Womens' Soccer Staff from 2003-2008. While an Assistant at UML, he helped propel the Women's program to national prominence in NCAA Division II, consistently placing them among the Northeast's elite. While at UML, Tony was also a staple at the Inter Soccer Club, where he coached for six years, winning a MA State Cup in 2002 and advancing to the Region 1 semi finals. Tony was also a head coach for both the boys and girls sides with New Hampshire Olympic Development Program from 2005-2007.
A Cum Laude graduate of Franklin Pierce University, Marino was a three-year attacking midfielder and helped the Ravens to a collective record of 38-14-3. Previously, he was a three-year starter at Lewis S. Mills H.S in Burlington, CT, where he won the Connecticut State Championship as a senior.
