U14 Girls Elite Team - 2009 Region 1 Champions
Scorpions Soccer (formerly South Coast Scorpion Soccer Club) was the result of a year 2000 merge between fledgling Scorpions soccer Club and the South Coast Girls Soccer Club. The 'South Coast' regional description was abandoned at the end of the 2006 Spring season.
Scorpions Soccer has grown rapidly. Currently Scorpions Soccer has 15 girls teams and 8 boys teams. Our current U11, U15, and U17 teams are defending State Champions. Our current U15 team won Region 1 championship in July, 2009.
Scorpions Soccer is investing into the U10 and younger developmental pool known as Scorpions Junior Academy with Katie Dempsey, Fred Marks, and Don Whitaker as leaders. The Scorpions Juniors pool has produced ten Division 1 MAPLE girls teams in ten consecutive years. We also have now produced three youth national pool players from the Juniors pool.
Teams developed in the Scorpions Juniors program have now won three Region 1 Championships in the last three years. Two teams developed in the Scorpion Juniors program have been ranked #1 in the United States.
Scorpions Soccer have been named the 14th best girls soccer club in the USA by Soccer America; and Top Drawer Soccer has ranked Scorpions 15th nationally, on the Women's ClubRank list.
Scorpions Soccer typically has multiple teams in age groups younger than 16. The 'top' team in each age group is referred to as the 'Elite' team, while the second and third teams in each age group are referred to as the 'Premier' and 'Club' teams, respectively. Our Elite teams strive to be among the top in the region (and nation). Several have gained that status. In the last 24 months, Scorpions teams have won state and regional championships, league championships and tournaments such as Jefferson Cup (VA), FC Delco (PA), PDA (NJ), and WAGS (VA/MD).
Scorpions Soccer also strives to make the best players and teams possible in our second and third teams. We give all players and teams, at all levels, the same service.
Scorpions Soccer has become a leader in the Massachusetts youth soccer community. We attempt to act ethically and honorably at all times. We treat players, coaches, referees, other clubs, administrators with respect. We like to think that we honor and embrace the game. We have a lot of fun at Scorpions Soccer and we hope all other youth soccer organizations do as well.
Scorpions Soccer has an equipment and uniform agreement with Nike and Lil' Dogs of Ludlow. Scorpions Soccer club colors are black and white, with Carolina blue.
