A Message from the Coaching Director

Dear San Juan Soccer Club Members,
Our new season is approaching with speed. We are looking forward to supporting and providing the best club atmosphere for our male and female players. Our coaching staff is excited to work with all of you this season. We continue to have one of the most qualified and influential coaching constituents for soccer development in Northern California . We are pleased to announce that four experienced, new coaches have been added to this staff.
San Juan is currently being represented at the State Cup. Four of our six age groups are advancing and the older players are starting up again at the end of March. Last year, nine teams advanced to at least the quarterfinals. We are confident this tremendous accomplishment can be surpassed. San Juan will also be returning to Florida to compete in the Champion’s Cup hosted by the US Club Soccer Organization.
Our Lightening and Spirit Teams continue to be strong and competitive. The girls will be playing as returning champions. The boys will try to obtain the crown this year after they fell just short last year and took second place.
Furthermore, San Juan Alumni are carrying the torch not only in the college arena, but also at the professional level. San Juan is proud to have had four former players drafted in last months MLS draft. In admiration, the club will be posting the list of college commitments for 2008 on its web site very soon.
As the Club continues to grow more each year, it is important to thank those who make the San Juan Soccer Club so special. Therefore, I am extending a much deserved thank you to the players, parents, and coaches. I am looking forward to seeing all of you on the pitch this upcoming season.
