The U15 boys defeat Avesta AIK 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Dalecarlia Cup.  They will play Cruz Azul from Mexico in the semi-finals.  Goals were scored by Micheal Mecham and Sean Joyner.  The U14 girls premier were tied 2-2 in the quarterfinals, but ended up losing in PK's.   read more ...

Roanoke Star will be offering an opportunity to U11-U18 Boys and Girls to come out to Vinyard II on Friday nights from 6 - 7:30pm to play soccer.  It will start Friday June 19th and go until July 31st.  This will give players a chance to play and keep getting touches over the summer.  If you would like to take part just come on out to the fields.  

The Roanoke Star accepts credit card payments for player fees as an accommodation.  We contract with Blue Sombrero to process these payments, for which the Club has to absorb a transaction fee.  The Club has chosen to outsource this processing through Blue Sombrero because they aggregate the Roanoke Star transactions with the volume of many other soccer clubs across the US, resulting in a much lower transaction cost that the Roanoke Star could achieve on its own.  The Club passes the cost of the transaction onto those who chose using their credit cards to make payments.  Paying by cash or check will allow you to avoid this transaction cost.
