Parents, Players and Coaches
Our first Saturday of the Fall 2009 Season was wonderful – we had some great games and some nice weather! Hope you all enjoyed it. We will have Saturday, September5th off as we enjoy the Labor Day Holiday. Games will start again on September 12th.
Our fields are looking great –thanks to some nicer weather and the many efforts of the members of the Hendersonville Parks Department who mow and care for our fields.
You may have noticed we have placed a temporary fence around Field #3, near the concession stand. That field will be closed until late summer 2010. The Hendersonville Soccer Club, in cooperation with the Tennessee United Soccer Club and the Hendersonville Parks Department pooled our funds and paid to have that field completely re-done. This project is an investment in our fields and we ask that everyone honor the fence and the signs and stay off that field. It needs time to grow! It is inconvenient to do without the field this season and next, but it will beworth it.
You may have also noted that our goals are anchored with chains and metal anchors. These anchors and chains should not be removed, nor should the goals be moved. This is important for the safety of our players and coaches who practice and play there and for members of the Hendersonville Parks Department who mow there. An unsecure goalis a safety hazard.
Take advantage of our player training sessions offered again this season by Clark and Catie Hastings. Go to the website and click on the section labeled “Soccer Resources” for the schedule. The player session are divided by age group for more age specific training. These sessions were well attended last year and will be great resources again this year.
Thank you all for the interest you show in our league – we appreciate the many volunteers who coach as well as those who help run our programs.
See you at the fields!
