With an impressive record of 8-0-1 the U16 RSL Florida boys are the R3PL east champs. The team has now qualified for the Southern Regionals in Baton Rouge of 2010. Congrats to all, it was a long time coming.   

The kids had a great tournament, winning all 3 games, but lost the finals in a heartbreaker in overtime to Jax Fury.  Tired and injured, the kids were barely walking at the end. But they did qualify to compete in the prestigous Disney Showcase in December.  

For the second year, the U16 Boys will compete in the USL National Super Y championship, playing teams from all over the US and Canada. The tournament is held in our own backyard. Come and cheer the boys on!  

The boys flew out to Utah and won the Sparta Cup. But the highlight of the trip was the hospitality shown to them by RSL, they toured the stadium, Coach Kreis gave a speech and they walked out on the pitch before the RSL/Seattle Sounders game.  

RSL Florida 93 Boys welcomes David Bernal Lopez and Nathan Dalton to the team. We will once again play Region 3, Super Y and plan to compete in the Disney Showcase. Wish the boys luck this season!  

Join us in congratulating Kody Thomas for making the 93 Region 3 A team. Kody worked through injury to compete at the highest level and achieve his goal.
Kody will travel to Argentina, New Orleans and compete at the Disney Showcase as a member of the Regional team.

 

For the third time in row the U15 RSL Florida Boys made it to the State Cup finals.
Defeating Weston in the semi-final game, but for the 3rd year in a row they came home a finalist and not a champion. We're proud that they made it to the finals and really hoped this would be our year. It was a great season and are already working on our goal of taking home the gold next season!  

 

U15 boys traveled 580 miles to play in the Vulcan Cup in Birmingham, Alabama and came home a champion.
The competition included the Louisiana State Cup champion, state cup final four teams from Indiana and the Columbus Crew affiliate out of Cincinnati. The team gave up only 1 goal in the entire tournament.

 

Finally, after about 10 final appearances, we won! Beating local rival Strictly 2-0.  Due to the economy, competition not as tough as previous years, but the team played better soccer with each game, 5 shutout games thanks to our new defensive star Kody Thomas and keeper Kody Parker's sticky hands!  MVP Ricky McEwen led all scorers!
