Canton Celtic '94 Black is the premier boys soccer team in the Canton Soccer Club, one of the largest youth soccer organizations in the country.
Celtic plays in the prestigious Midwest Regional League (MRL), and under the leadership of Ian Jones, finished the 2008-2009 season with a 4-2 record against teams from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. In tournament play, Celtic advanced to the Michigan State Cup quarterfinals for the second consecutive season, were finalists at the John Talley Showcase in Memphis, and champions at the Canton Cup.
Celtic enters the 2009-2010 ranked by National Soccer Ranking as the Midwest's #26 U16 team.
Comprised of boys from seven high schools, the boys have a new coach in Kieran Savage and three new players to the roster. Canton Celtic '94 Black is poised to take the next step in State Cup and MRL play.
