 2010 Scorpion Bowl Minimize

Presenting the 3rd Annual Scorpion Bowl: a preseason event taking place over two weekends in March.  Play takes place on exclusively synthetic grass surfaces, virtually guaranteeing play!

Over the last several years, major East Coast tournaments have been cancelled due to weather, but the Scorpion Bowl survived due to these magnificant facilities and our ultimate commitment to getting games played!

We will again play games at: Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park in Lancaster, home to 5 beautiful synthetic fields and the 2009 USYS National Championships, and the Thayer Academy South Athletic Complex in Braintree, MA, home to 4 synthetic fields.  We will use other facilities in Eastern Massachusetts in addition to the two main locations.

Our inaugural event hosted over 180 teams from over 50 clubs.  2009 grew to 250+ teams, with clubs representing Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Canada.  Our inaugural event was also the highest rated New England youth soccer tournament played during the 2007-2008 season, and we expect similar results this year!

In attendance last year were: 2 Regional Champions, numerous State Cup Champions, a Canadian National Champion, and several of the top clubs in Region 1.  We expect even stronger competition for 2010 with commitments already from some of the top clubs in Region 1.

This event takes place over two weekends:

March 6 and 7 - Girls U10-U14

March 13 and 14 - Boys U10-15, Girls U15 - U18 (Girls U16-U18 is a College Showcase)
