Welcome to the Recreation portion of the NHSA web site. The Recreation division is responsible for the organizing, scheduling and running of the following events and competitions. Please check back here often to get the latest information.
Second Annual Recreation Forum - January 26, 2008It will be held at the Anheuser-Busch Training facility in Merrimack, NH. Times to be announced, but it will start in the morning. There is no charge.
We encourage Presidents, recreation VPs/Coordinators, Coach Directors, coaches, board members, referees, etc. to attend. It is not limited to only one – each member can send as many as they like. This is the best opportunity most recreation members will have to get out and hear what is being planned in your State Association and for us to receive feedback from you. It is impossible to pick one date that all can attend, but please consider sending someone in your place if you are not available. Our feedback from last year was very positive and we are open for any suggestions for topics to cover or questions to pose.
Our tentative agenda thus far:
New Festival format added to the Kohl’s American Cup (in addition to the championship format)
On-line registration from Blue Sombrero to begin this spring
Risk Management and KidSafe
Planning for Your Season
Guidelines for recreation programs
New coaching material & DVDs coming out
Recreation Advisory Committee Re-start
Another announcement with the agenda will be sent out in early January. Please pass this date to your membership and make plans to attend. Pre-registration is not required, but please let us know if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly.
We hope you all have a great holiday season and we will see you in January.

New Hampshire Soccer Association Launches PROJECT PARTNERSHIPAt the March 5th meeting of the New Hampshire Recreation Association (NHRA), Doug Thomas, Vice-President of the New Hampshire Soccer Association (NHSA) Recreation Division, unveiled NHSA's new Project Partnership. Project Partnership is a new initiative that seeks to enter into agreements with recreation departments to promote youth recreation soccer in New Hampshire. "NHSA has many resources and experienced instructors", explained Mr. Thomas, "that can be made available to those recreation departments that partner with us." He went on to say that "because many soccer programs are run by the recreation departments and not private organizations, recreation directors may find it beneficial to explore this initiative with NHSA".
