Mission
The Ann Arbor Arsenal Travel Program aims to professionally develop soccer players while competing at the highest standard of the game in the state of Michigan, Region II and the nation.
Focus
Each age group in our Arsenal Travel Program has a distinct focus:

U8-U11, teach the kids to love the game

U12-U14, teach the kids to play the game

U15-U18, teach the kids to win the game
Structure
TheArsenal Program employs more than 25 part-time professional coaches. All Arsenal coaches are licensed through NSCAA and USSF and most of them have national level licenses. The program is under the direction of the Arsenal Player Development Committee (PDC), the only one of its kind in this state. Arsenal Coaching Director Mike Meyer directly oversees the quality instruction that our professional coaches offer their players. Our PDC coaches use their years of high school, college, and professional coaching experience to assist our coaches in their weekly training sessions and clinics.
Formation of Teams
All teams are formed through open tryouts in June. Some teams elect to hold additional tryouts from time to time to fill open roster spots. All tryouts are open to any player in that particular age group who has not yet signed with another MSYSA affiliated team.

Staff
In order to offer all the players in the biggest club in Michigan the proper instruction which they have come to expect and deserve, we strive to hire coaches with diversified backgrounds: current or former college players, current or former high school coaches, and current or former college coaches.
Support System
We were the first club in Michigan to hire a full time Director of Coaching. We were the first club to open a full time office. Other soccer organizations modeled their club after ours. Our office staff continues today to offer a complete support system for our coaches, players, and parents to make sure that our players stay in the best possible training environment following MSYSA and US Youth Soccer guidelines and procedures.
