Since 2002, AAYSA has partnered with Peace Neighborhood Center ( PNC ) in Ann Arbor to provide a fun soccer experience to the PNC kids. PNC kids have in the past participated in outdoor leagues, outdoor weekly training sessions, indoor soccer leagues at Wide World Sports Center, and their very own summer soccer camp activities! Through its staff members, coaches, and volunteers, AAYSA is committed in continuing its involvement with the PNC kids for years to come.
What is Peace Neighborhood Center?

It is the mission of Peace Neighborhood Center to provide programs for children, families, and individuals who are impacted by social and economic problems. Peace helps people discover options, enhance skills, develop attitudes and make choices that lead to self-sufficiency and positive community involvement.
Over time, the mission of Peace Neighborhood Center has expanded in order to meet the challenges of integrating communities, combating drugs and violence, and addressing educational and economic equalities.
The Peace Staff consists of 4 full time employees, 8 part time employees, 2 student interns and 290 volunteers. There are 14 people on the Board of Directors including financial advisors, teachers, church leaders, and former clients. There are 25 community leaders serving on the Advisory Board.

Peace Neighborhood Center is a not for profit 501 C (3) corporation dedicated providing services to the people of Washtenaw County.
Peace started in 1971 out of the concerns and hopes of the residents of Ann Arbor's West Side. Initially, Peace was a neutral meeting place for neighbors from diverse backgrounds to resolve their mutual concerns. It has become a safe place where those in need can overcome adversity in order to move out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.
AAYSA is involved primarily with the PNC Youth Services. There are however many other ways you can participate in helping mold these young people into solid citizens that are involved ion the community. Please visit the PNC website at
