Staff DevelopmentThe program conducted on Monday, October 4th, was progressive, insightful and informative for all of the Blackhawk training staff. We met at Velocity Sports Performance for an educational piece on nutrition by Joe Marsit, followed by a technical hands-on training delivered by the State of Arizona Director of Coaching, Tony Colavecchia. The following dates are the remaining staff development days - No practices held these nights:

  • Monday, February 8th


Blackhawks Invitational
 
February 26 - 28, 2010
This is an exciting time for Scottsdale Soccer. Our club is hosting the Blackhawk's first soccer tournament February 26 - 28, 2010.

With your help, the Blackhawks Invitational can grow to be a premiere event here in the valley. Please feel free to contact our tournament's Volunteer Coordinator, Brad Clement, at bhivolunteers@cox.net with any questions, suggestions or ways you and your team can help.

Meet The Trainers!
                                                                                                                                                                                   
Vic Davidson
Vic DavidsonVic holds the USSF "A" and Scottish SFA coaching licenses, and trains the 99 Black - Boys and the 95 Black - Boys. His playing experience includes the Glasgow Celtic (1st Division Scotland), Motherwell (1st Division Scotland), Blackpool (1st Division England), the Cleveland Force (Indoor), and Phoenix Inferno (Indoor). Vic has earned three Scottish Premier League Medals.

Chris Sagar
Chris is the Director of Goalkeepers, as well as the coach of the 00 Black - Girls and the 95 Black - Girls. He is also currently heChris Sagarad coach of the Phoenix Community College Women's team. His playing experience includes Yavapai College (National Champions), AZ Thunder, AZ Sandsharks, Trinidad and Tabago U19/U23 National Team, and the University of Wisconsin, where he was a Hall of Famer. He holds the USSF "C" and NSCAA National Goalkeeping coaching licenses, and has served as the coach of the Mesa Soccer Club, ASU Women's Soccer Asst. Coach, and the AZ ODP Staff/GK Director from 2006 - 2007.

Neil Graham
Neil GrahamNeil coaches both the 01 White - Girls, the 97 White - Girls and the 94 Red - Girls, and he is also the Assistant Coach of the Scottsdale Community College Men's team. He has coached for the Pros Soccer Club, Loudon Youth Soccer Club, and the Great Falls Soccer Club, and carries the NSCAA Advance National Coaching License, as well as the USSF "B" Youth National and Scottish FA "C" licenses. Neil played competitively for the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Peter Beirne
Peter BerineA veteran of Ireland & UK Leagues, Peter is coach of the 00 Black 2 - Boys, 97 Red - Boys, and the 97 Red - Girls. Peter holds the USSF "C" coaching license.
Scottsdale Soccer Foundation
 

The Scottsdale Soccer Foundation supports the development of student athletes in our community. Attention is on the whole athlete, with emphasis on character, teamwork, commitment and self confidence. The Foundation was established last year to support programs within the Club that include, but are not limited to, financial aid, equipment and capital improvement projects. Please take a moment to consider a donation by downloading the form and mailing into the Club offices. Contributions made to the foundation and monies raised through fundraising initiatives are directed toward player scholarships, field rental, equipment and capital improvements. Scottsdale Soccer is a 501(c)3 organization, and all contributions are tax deductible.
