U9 Boys BVSC Stars Toros

U9 BVSC Stars Toros win the 2010 Border Battle Tournament.  What a fantistic tournament for the U9 boys, starting off against a strong team from Topeka, KS, KC Fury.  Toros fought a hard match against a very big KC Fury resulting in a tie, 2-2.  The next day brought even stronger competition for the Toros facing a St. Charles Mo. team, the Panathinaikos GFD Crew, the game going to the Toros 2-1.  On the third day of competition the Toros faced a strong St. Louis Gallagher team and defeated them to make it to the semi-final game 2-1.  The semi-final brought a team to the table that the Toros had already faced, the KC Fury from Topeka.  The Toros had their number this time beating them 4-1.  The final game put the Toros against a team they have never beat, KC Select Pycior.  The Toros battled with no subs beathing them 1-0 to take the Championship.

The Blue Valley STARS was established for the specific purpose of developing a competitive youth soccer program. Our priority is focused on player development, which is essential to the long-term growth and improvement of the player. Player development demands that “the player is central” to all decisions made regarding training and competition.

Our goal is to place players with like ability in the same competitive environment. The BV STARS program is unique in that it is a true club system. This system offers players the opportunity to move based on their development. The key to a player’s long-term success is creating an atmosphere that responds to their different rates of development.

The success of a young player depends on receiving the correct information at an early age. The BV STARS age specific curriculum focuses on technical skills and tactical decision making. Our positive coaching style promotes the development of personal skills, creativity and a life long passion for the game.
