The CFU First Touch program for players ages 4 through 6 is specifically designed to introduce players into the game through creative and fun games that rarely exclude players for competition. All players at this age group will be given a strong foundation in skill and game knowledge. Sessions are offered at 3 different sites under the direction of the Club Site Director and CFU professional coaches.  Players remain engaged and focused at learning the skills and techniques under the disguise of the fun, creative, and developmentally appropriate activities. Players play in-house competition on Friday evenings and matches are played to further foster player development under the direction of the professional staff. Players should wear proper soccer equipment (shin guards, soccer socks, and if possible soccer specific shoes), CFU training gear and bring a size 3 ball.

These programs are for players U7-U10 to build on skills learned at First Touch. The program intends to produce independent thinkers confident and capable in the basic technical and mental skills of the game. It is a great way to introduce a child unfamiliar with soccer to the sport or supplement the training of a recreational player. Activities will concentrate on technique and fun and sessions will be group oriented. Training sessions are one hour in duration and players should wear proper soccer equipment (shin guards, soccer socks, and if possible soccer specific shoes), CFU training gear and bring a size 3 ball. Players play in-house competition on Friday evenings Matches are played to further foster player development under the direction of the professional staff.

PREMIER ACADEMY PROGRAM 

U11-U12

All players must tryout annually each May for the following season. Our Premier Academy players and coaches will demonstrate the highest level of commitment to excellence in skills, fitness, work ethic, attitude and sportsmanship. Players will be coached by the CFU Coaching Staff.  Two training sessions per week will be conducted by top coaches in the club at Academy training sites in required training gear.  The season is 10 months (Aug to May) including participation in the FYSA Region Cup. Regular season games will be played in the GCF Premier League or Tampa-based Club Directors League. Premier Academy teams will compete in in-state and out-of-state tournaments annually, the number is based on age and level. 

 

U13-U19

All players must tryout annually each May for the following season. Our Premier Academy players and coaches will demonstrate the highest level of commitment to excellence in skills, fitness, work ethic, attitude and sportsmanship.  Players will be coached by the CFU Coaching Staff.  Two training sessions per week will be conducted by top coaches in the club.  There will be an optional third session consisting of a Soccer specific performance and injury prevention program run by Spectrum Sports Performance with additional skill training with the club coaches. CFU Premier Academy players and coaches will demonstrate a commitment to the club, their team and their own soccer development.  The U15-U18 season is 7 months and the U13-U14 season is 10 months including participation in FYSA Region or State Cup. Players compete against premier teams either from the prestigious Club Directors League (CDL), the Florida State League or Greater Central Florida League, this being dependent on age and level. Premier teams will compete in in-state and out-of-state tournaments annually, the number is based on age and level. 

 

Fee includes:    $425 registration/$800 premier fee*(includes coaching fees for all Academy training nights, training gear, soccer specific training, goalkeeper training, State and Region Cup entry and CFU Tournament entry)

(Fee is paid in 4x$200 payments to be paid by December 2008)

 

 

*Fee excludes coach’s hotel, food and travel (gas) expenses for out of area tournaments and any additional tournament entry fees.
