U16 Girls Victory

The Elk Grove Everton U16 Girls capturedthe cup at the 2009 Elk Grove Everton Cup with three shut-outs. Althoughdisappointed by the San Ramon Stingers decision to forfeit their games, thegirls went on to defeat the Auburn Academy Rage 2-0. On Sunday, they overtookthe Walnut Creek Impact 1-0 to move on to the Championship game where theyfaced the second place Rage who were looking for revenge. The Rage played toughand held our girls scoreless forcing the game into two 5 minute overtimeperiods. Finally in the secondovertime half Elk Grove was able to put the ball in the back of the net sealingfirst place. U11 Girls Blue Victory

U10 Girls Victory

The U10 Girls had another successful weekend at the Everton Cup. They started off strong with a 7-1 win over Tri Valley Samba and a 7-0 shutout against Gryphons. Sunday was just as successful with a shutout against San Juan Blue 4-0 and a 4-2 win against Livermore Elite to claim the Championship after a max in points for the bracket. The girls are continuing to show great improvement in their game and we are so proud of them. Great job this weekend.
