This is not Intramural Spring Soccer!
This is above and beyond our league, this is training for our young players.
Haverford Soccer Club is interested in our young players’ soccer skill development. A few years ago we began to focus on helping the young player who truly likes playing soccer increase their knowledge of the game.
We are not looking for superstars at this age. We want to build skill and self-assurance in these young players.
We are looking for players who ask “when is my next game” while you are driving home from a game. They want to stay in the game when they are substituted. They try to get their homework done when they know they have practice. They stay on the field after the game and practice shooting.
The Developmental Academy is designed to allow these types of players to play together for regular periods of time. By having a consistent schedule along with terrific training our players come away from these sessions with confidence in their new found-skills.
Training by UKElite, the highly regarded professional soccer education organization. Steve Wilman will be the training this group. He is terrific working with this age group.
Dates of the Academy are Tuesday, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4,11,18,25, 2010
Times are: 5:30 to 6:45 U-7 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. U-8
Dates of birth must be:
Between Aug. 1, 2002 and July 31, 2003 for the U-7 group
Between Aug. 1, 2001 and July 31, 2002 for the U-8 group
We are trying to not have co-ed if possible, however if the numbers are not sufficient in an age group we may need to have them play together.
