Picture Day is not yet scheduled.

Intramural Soccer Registration

There are a limited number of spots in each Intramural age group. If the registration system accepts your registration, you have got one of those spots.  We do accomodate requests in the Fall if made before August 2nd.

Players may play with their appropriate age group or school grade, whichever they decide with their parents.

While we will do everything reasonably possible to accommodate new and returning Intramural players who register after August 1st, we cannot guarantee that a spot on a desired team will be available.  We will not expand rosters to accomadate late registrants.

Generalized Age Group Training

A number of free training sessions will be provided for Intramural age division U6 to U12. These training sessions are separate and distinct from playing on a team. Some players will attend them all and some will attend none, as they are optional. Your coach or age group trainer will notify you of when and where the training sessions will be held.  This includes Keeper training from our Keeper Coach.  The age group traing will begin in mid to late August for all the kids registered in those age groups that we are holding them for.  They will continue throughout most of the season.

2011 Fall Intramural Fee Structure

The per-player Intramural registration fee is $85.  Additional Intramural players from the same family, who register will receive a $15 discount (for the second and third players). The fourth and subsequent Intramural player(s) from the same family are free.  The maximum fee per Intramural family for Fall 2011 Intramural Registration is $225.

Multi-child discounts do not go across programs, except for the Intramural U5 and the Intramural K-12 programs.

No Checks Please

We will not be accepting checks for player registration, credit card only.  We will have to make special arrangements for those that do not have a credit card with which to register.  Please email us at, kidswin@haverfordsoccer.org with yours and your children’s names, advising you have no credit card.

Along with May flowers comes the Early Bird Special
This year there will be a $10 discount for each Intramural registrant processed during the month of May and the first week of June (thru the 7th).  We need players registered as soon as possible so we can setup teams, order uniforms and equipment and create the schedule in a timely manner.  So we are offering this sweetener for the habitual procrastinators and reward for those who are always quick to sign up.

Additional Fees:  Any registrations received after August 1st will incur a $10.00 Late Fee, per registration.  Each child being registering late, even in multiple child families, will incur the late fee.

Withdrawals prior to the season are fully refunded.  Players who withdraw from our programs after the first scheduled game will be charged a $10 Service Fee per child against the refund amount and we will determine how much of the registration fee is refunded.

Notes to First Timers and those new to the Club...

All soccer players, whether in a game or during practice, are required to be wearing shin guards or they may not participate.  There can be no exceptions to this.

Soccer players of all ages generally wear cleats, dark shorts.  They will be provided a uniform shirt and socks by the Club.  Socks should always be worn over the shin guards, it is the accepted practice, just like Landon Donavan does.

For younger players starting out, sneakers are acceptable but there are inexpensive cleats out there.  As they get older, cleats are the way to go.

C&M Sports, our Intramural Partner located in the Manoa Shopping Center, will give you a discount if you mention your child is playing for Haverford Soccer Club.  They may also have some HSC shorts still available.  Often times they have a discount package available of a ball, shorts and shinguards.

All players should have a ball for practice and a water bottle.  We prefer the reusable kind to stay as green as we can as a Club.

Teams that have age group training are only permitted three practices.  The team Coach organizes that once they meet with the kids and parents.  Teams that do not have age group training will generally practice once a week, some age group teams have a joint practice, like U15/16/17 Coed.

The ball sizes are:
U4 through U8 - size 3
U9 through U12 - size 4
U13 through U18 - size 5

Our games will normally be on a Haverford School District or a Haverford Township field.  This website has maps and directions to all of our fields.

Welcome to the Club!

Field Maintenance

  ANCHOR
THE
GOALS

Please be sure there are at least TWO dirt bags on your goals' frames before playing any game (windy or not), especially on windy days.  The bags must be on the metal of the goal.  Our fields department is busy visiting fields and securing the goals, however some individuals like the canvas hsc bags we are using on some fields and they are stealing them so we need your help in keeping the goals anchored.  If you see a goal with only 1 bag on it or with no bags at all, please go to the local hardware store and get another one.  The HSC will reimburse you the cost of the bags if you wish.  If you think this is SILLY, read the story at this link.

    NO
HANGING
ON THE
GOALS

It is tempting for many players and their siblings to hang on the goal cross bars and the nets, this is VERY dangerous as it can lead to tipping and broken crossbars.   If they must hang on something, there is usually a playground nearby..have at it.  Again, if you think it is ok to swing on the crossbars, read the story at this link.

  MOVE
YOUR
GOALS

The HSC and The Department of Parks and Recreation are working together to keep the fields in the best condition possible as well as making less work for all of the organizations who share fields and the field maintenance crews.

1)   If you are the last game on any day, please push the goals off of the lined section of the field (beyond the end lines) so the grass can be cut and the neighborhood children and other teams do not wear out the goal mouths.  This also helps the next user group setup for their session without having to move our goals.  When using the turf field, please place the goals against the fence nearest to the pavilion.

2)  When you are practicing, please move the goals away from the normal goal mouths.  Usually a good location is in front of the goal mouths.  When you are done, please move the goals off of the field as stated in item 1 above.

Thank you,
HSC Board of Directors
