All players in the U-7 to U-12 age groups (Click here for age group chart) are welcome. The league is for both Boys and Girls.   Depending on how many players register, we may introduce co-ed divisions in some age groups if needed.
Similar age groups will be combined as such: U7/8,  U9/10, U11/12. They will enter the same group they were in this fall.
 

The Plan

This League is played from January 9th, 2010 through March 14, 2010, with training held on the weekends of December 5 and 12, 2009.
This Futsal league format includes 6 regular season games played in local gymnasiums.  Two training sessions of one hour each will be provided well in advance of the first game date.  This is a competitive program complete with playoffs and championships with awards given to the first 2 finishers in each group.  U-8/7 will have participation awards given to all players.

The players will start training and learning before the season begins to help them play even better.  Additionally, there will also be 2 practices for 1 hour each built in over the course of the season. These practices will take place in January in evening time slots. Futsal is easy to play and fun as well as exciting to play and watch!
 

Game Format

Each game will be 40 minutes in length with a 20 minute warm up session before each game for a total of 1 hour of court time.  Referees are present, score-keeping and records are kept at www.mysoccerleague.com (just like the fall).  This is our second year with this format.
 
Cost
The fee is just $70 and includes a team shirt and socks.
 
As usual, volunteers are the life blood of this program and we need coaches as well as gym marshals (help setup the games and transport the goals).  Coaches’ training will be provided in December.
