HCU Standouts Andrew Buckley & Gilbert Davis Commit to Local College Giant UT - Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Andrew Buckley and Gilbert Davis, who have played in the HC United club their whole soccer career, have both verbally committed to play soccer and attend the University of Tampa next year.  Andrew attends Tampa Catholic high school, where he is getting ready to play his senior year.  Gilbert attends Sickles high school where he anchors the defense for the Gryphons.  Andrew has been a goal-scoring machine over his HCU career and coaches Kelvin Jones and Kevin McCarron are delighted that Andrew has made his college choice. Kelvin Jones, the Director of Coaching at HCU, says,  “We are glad he chose UT.  Now, we can watch them play.”
UT Coach Adrian Bush is delighted that Buckley and Davis have verbally committed.  "I consider Andrew & Gilbert to be two of the top prospects in the entire state of Florida and they are both local players as well.  We could not ask for anything more."

 

HCUnited Wins CDL Championship - Sunday, November 01, 2009
The U18 Girls clinched the overall CDL fall championship with a 1-1 tie versus Brandon on Saturday.  This is the first time HCUnited has claimed the overall fall championship in the club's existence.  Congratulations to the U15 Boys Red(Moniz) who won their age group by going 9-0 in the league scoring 41 goals and only giving up 4.   read more ...

Two HC United Players Attend Trial in Europe - Sunday, October 18, 2009
HCUnited is proud to announce 2 players from the U15 Boys Team coached by KelvinJones and Scotty Moniz were invited for trials in Slovakia.  Mike Bajzaand Andrew Brody, both center midfielders at HC United, visited MFK Kosice(pronounced Ko-She-Say) for 2 weeks on trials at the Club. 
The boys stayed in the Player Accommodations, and started the trip trainingwith the U16 Team.  After their skill, work ethic, unselfish play, speedof play were easily identified, they ended the trials by training andplaying with the U17 team for the last 4 days.  The U17's have 3 playersinvolved in the Slovakian National Team Program.  Slovakia recentlyqualified for their first World Cup.
MFK Kosice recently transferred Nemana Matic to Chelsea for $2m euros.They also have the leading scorer and Slovakian National Team forward JanNovak, linked to English or Italian clubs this winter.  TheClub hopes for similar futures for Bajza and Brody, as both boys wereinvited to join the Club on a permanent basis.  
 

HCUnited Claims 8 ACDC Championships - Sunday, October 18, 2009
16 HCUnited teams made it through group play and into the Finals of the 2009 Adidas Columbus Day Classic.  Half came away with 1st place trophies.  Congratulations players and coaches! read more ...
