2010 Gasparilla Cup

 

The HC United Soccer Club would like to invite your recreational team to participate in the 14th Annual Gasparilla Cup.  Let your recreational team experience the excitement and competition of tournament play!

TEAM ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all properly registered U.S. recreational teams (as defined by U.S.Y.S.A.). This is a recreation team only tournament.  No recreational select, recreational all-star, or competitive teams will be allowed and if discovered will be disqualified and forfeit application fee.  U-13-U15 teams may carry up to 18 players.  U16-U19 teams may carry up to 22 players, but much declare a roster of 18 prior to each match.  U12 teams may carry up to 14 players.  U10 teams may carry up to 12 players.  U5, U6, U7 and U8 teams are limited to 8 players.   Four(4) guest players will be permitted per team. Guest players may not be registered to a select or competitive team.  Teams must be in good standing, registered with their State Association. ONLY PROPERLY REGISTERED PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY.  Each team must submit two (2) copies of their roster which have been verified by their District Commissioner or State Association Official and a copy of a notarized medical release form for each player.  Coaches must have the original medical release form with them at all times.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Each team will play a minimum of three (3) games; most likely, two (2) games to be played on Saturday and one (1) on Sunday.   Semi-Finals and Finals will be played on Monday. The U6-U8 age groups will play festival format with the group winner being determined on points. All participants in these age groups will receive medals.  First and second place teams will receive individual medals & team trophies.  A copy of the tournament rules will be sent to coaches upon acceptance.  USYSA, FYSA, and FIFA rules will govern play.  This is a no protest tournament.

 

ACCEPTANCE PACKAGE

Notification of acceptance will be emailed no later than January 4th, 2010.  Any team not accepted will have their fee returned.  Any team withdrawing after application will forfeit their fee. 

 

CHECK-IN

Check-In will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Ed Radice Park. Credentials will be verified from 5:00 to 8:00pm. EACH TEAM MUST HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE PRESENT!
