Travel Minimize
The Loudoun Soccer Travel program provides the opportunity for boys and girls to participate in a competitive youth soccer environment that promotes excellence and sportsmanship. Loudoun Soccer currently fields 54 travel teams in the U9 through U19 age groups. Travel teams train a minimum of twice per week and play games primarily on Sundays, with some Saturday games throughout each season. Loudoun Soccer travel teams compete in one of three leagues: Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS), National Capital Area Soccer League (NCSL) or Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL).

Loudoun Soccer offers a number of academy training programs for its travel players that focus on a variety of technical, tactical and physical areas, specific to positions or requirements of the game. Footskills I Academy is available to the U9 through U12 travel players and covers a wide variety of skills including first touch, individual footskills, and 1v1. Footskills II (FS2) is an advanced footskills program available to the club’s U13 through U19 travel players. FS2 focuses on plyometric and speed and quickness (SAQ) training with the ball. Loudoun also offer two position specific academy programs - Goalkeeping Academy and Striker Academy.

PRESIDENT'S LETTER ABOUT OUR TECHNICAL TRAINING CURRICULUM

C
oaches, Parents and Players:

Below you will find links to the new Loudoun Soccer Technical Training curriculum for the travel program. We believe that it is very important to have balanced, age-appropriate training for our players and a structure that takes into account all of the technical, physiological and emotional needs of our young players. As a club, we aim to provide a place for all children to play. The Loudoun Soccer travel program provides an environment where the more committed and competitive player can develop and grow, as a player and as a person. Our coaches are carefully selected and supported with their coaching education so that they can maximize the potential of every player they work with. With this new curriculum our technical staff have identified key training priorities for coaches to develop in each age group and you, as parents, will be able to follow what your coach is working on with your child each week of the season. We feel this curriculum will enhance the quality of the experience our players have in the travel program.

Thank you for being a part of the Loudoun Soccer travel program and we are confident that your experience will be a positive one.
