Fall State Tournament 2004

The 2004NHSA Fall Play-offs were held at the Roger Allen Park located in Rochester, NH. The fields were well maintained and set up, the weather turned out to be a great day; unlike the cold and snow flurries of last year. A sincere thank you and big kudos go out to Steve Smith and Steve Gero of Rochester Youth Soccer for making sure that everything was in place, ready to go and the countless hours these two people put in to make sure that the fields are in order and set to play. These people put in more that added extra effort and we thank you for it.

The games were well played and exciting. The teams were so well matched, that every game was exciting. All of the teams that participated in the fall finals deserved to be there. The excitement started in the first set of games with the GU13 Div I. Merrimack MYA vs Express SC, game results were 2-2 with an OT finish and then to sudden death PKs, with the game going to Merrimack.

Dover GU12 Div. I against the Derry SC GU12 ended with a 2-2 game going to OT and then to pks with Dover falling to Derry. Exeter BU12 Div. I against ASC Windham BU12 ended with a 0-0 game going to OT and Exeter falling to Windham in PKs, 1-2.

RC United GU14 Div. I fell to Bow Soccer Club 1-2 in OT, Bedford Classics GU12 vs SUSC ended their game 0-0, going to PKs, with SUSC pulling ahead of the Classics with pks going to the SUSC 4-5.

The final game of the day could not be out done by the previous games played a 2-2 game ending score into OT and PKS to a Salem GU14 Div. II win over Exeter, 4-2.

Congratulations and thank you to all of the teams that participated in the fall finals. All of the teams did an outstanding job. Thank you to the parents, grandparents, families and friends who put in endless hours of support for the youth soccer players.

Thank you to Fil Faria (SYRA NHSA) and Mark Sadler (assessments NHSA) for all their work with getting the referees and assessors organized and making sure the referees and games were professionally done. Kudos to the referees who did a nice job.

I would like to especially recognize the volunteers who give up endless amounts of their time for the youth of NH and their help in making sure that year's NHSA Fall Final went off without a hitch.
