NE Revolution Town Partnership Program
October 20, 2008
Dear NH Coaches,
Last month we had a NH Night with NE Revs. The Revs Management Team did a wonderful job hosting approx 100 people. The bad weather unfortunately kept the number small. However, everyone who attended was very pleased.
I apologize if you didn’t hear about it but we only had a couple of weeks to put it together. The discussion for the event, actually came during our USYS Youth Soccer Celebration in Merrimack. The US Youth Soccer Month Celebration was an event which we had a couple of representatives from the Revs attend including one of their starting defenders.

To All With the spring season just around the corner ( not sure the weather man got the word that spring has come), it is time to remind all our coaches, managers, volunteers and administrators that safety is Everyone's responsibility. Goal safety is critical. Here is a simple check list from Kwik Goal
Kwik Goal Safety check list Yes No 1. Are anchors in place and secured properly to the goal and ground surface? 2. If anchor bags are being used, are they in good condition? 3. Are anchor bags adequately filled with aggregate? 4. Are anchor bags placed over the base of the goal frames at the back corners? 5. Is all connecting hardware, such as nuts and bolts, in place and secure? 6. Has the structural integrity of the goal been compromised? 7. Are welds cracked? 8. Are corner joints secure? 9. Is the goal on a level surface? 10. Are the goal nets attached properly to the goal frame? 11. Do sharp edges exist in any part of the goal and net attachment system? 12. Do the nets have large holes or tears? POST-MATCH SOCCER GOAL SUGGESTIONS: If goals are to remain in the upright position, make sure they are secured with cement based ground anchors or ground sleeves. If goals are anchored with portable style anchors, goals should be stored by being chained together face-to-face, chained to a permanent structure, or in some cases placed in a face down position. · Remove the net when the goal is not in use. · Make sure that all connecting hardware is in place and secure. · Check the structural integrity of the goal. · Never allow anyone to climb on the goals. · If goals are to be moved, exercise extreme caution and provide adequate manpower to move the goals. · Check condition of warning labels.

UNIROYAL® TIRE SOCCER PROGRAM TO GIVE AWAY A BALL EVERY DAY IN 2009
Soccer Program Celebrating 10 Years of Community Involvement
GREENVILLE, S.C. – (May 28, 2009) – The Uniroyal® Tire Soccer Program is commemorating its 10th anniversary of supporting youth soccer by giving away one soccer ball every day in 2009. And at the end of the year, a Grand Prize winner will be selected from the 365 daily winners to win Uniroyal Tire's year-end Soccer Season Survival grand prize. This prize includes the top ten things a family needs to survive a soccer season:
· $500 Gas Card
· Set of Uniroyal Tires
· Camera/Video Recorder
· Car Service for the Season
· GPS System
· Car Detailing
· Cooler/Chair Package
· $250 Parents' night out Gift Card
· $250 Snack/Food Gift Card
· $500 Sporting Goods Gift Card
The contest began Jan. 1 and continues until Dec. 31, 2009.
As youth soccer continues to grow in popularity, thousands of excited new players sign up every year to join a league in their area. And while most families walk away from the registration table with a list of required supplies, Uniroyal Tire aims to make sure many kids have what they need to stay in the game. Working together with its local dealer stores across the country, Uniroyal has donated almost $12 million in funds and equipment since 2000, including nearly one million soccer balls, to over 3,000 different youth soccer leagues.
The Uniroyal Soccer Program was implemented to strengthen ties between tire dealers and their community. In addition to handing out equipment to participating leagues, Uniroyal and its dealers also make cash donations to the leagues based on the number of Uniroyal tires sold to the public. The funds are often used to cover the cost of scholarships for less fortunate players, field and equipment upkeep, or an annual party for the children in the league.
“We’re proud to say what started as a small, grassroots initiative for 200 Uniroyal dealers has grown into an international program reaching the communities of over 1,000 Uniroyal Tire dealers in the U.S. and Canada,” says Kaz Holley, Uniroyal Tire brand director. “The soccer program is an extension of our mission to help families by providing quality tires at an affordable price. The support we offer youth soccer helps us reach out to families on a personal level and offer value in a way that matters most to them.”
In addition to the free soccer balls given away, each of the daily winners will be automatically entered into a drawing for the Soccer Season Survival Grand Prize. To enter, or to see the official rules go to www.UniroyalTires.com/sweeps. You must be a legal U.S. resident over the age of 13 to enter. If any potential winner is a minor under the laws of his or her state of residence, prize may be awarded in the name of the winner's parent or legal guardian.
