2003 Region I Summer League Outline

Region I will be offering a Summer League in 2003. The Champions of both the Premier Flight and the Division I Flight of the Summer League will represent Region I at the US Youth Soccer Director’s Cup Championships to be held August 8-10, 2003 at the Lawrence Complex in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Flights:League Fees: $350.00 Per Team due with application.
Age Groups: Both the Premier Flight and the Division I Flight will have the following age groups:
- Under 13 Boys and Girls
- Under 14 Boys and Girls
- Under 15 Boys and Girls
- Under 16 Boys and Girls
- Under 17 Boys and Girls
- Under 18 Boys and Girls
- Under 19 Boys and Girls
Season Dates: Both the Premier Flight and the Division I Flight will begin June 1 and will conclude the end of July with Semi-Finals and Finals to follow the first weekend in August.
Teams:
- Premier Flight: Flight will consist of 8 or 12 teams
- Division I: Minimum of 8 teams and maximum of 16 teams per section
Roster Size:
- A maximum of twenty-five (25) eligible players may be listed on a team’s pool roster at any one time.
- There will be a flexible add and drop policy
- Teams will be allowed to multiple roster within same club organization (i.e. a U-16 can play on the U-16 team or U-17 team at the same time).
- Dual rostering will be allowed between the Premier Flight teams and the Division I teams.
- No adds will be permitted after a team’s 4th game
- Teams may only have 18 players on their game roster.
- Teams must come to the field with a copy of their pool roster and a copy of their game roster.
Player Passes:
- All teams will use a Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Member Pass, which will be by adidas.
- All Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Member Passes will be issued to the teams by their State Association
- All Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Member Passes MUST be laminated.
- The Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Member Pass can only be used in this league.
Rosters:
- All teams will use a Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Roster.
- All Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Rosters will be issued to the teams by their State Association
- All Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Rosters will be processed by the team’s State Association
- The Region I Summer League US Youth Soccer Roster can only be used in this league.
Add and Release Form:
- There will be a standard form which MUST be used for all adds and releases to and from the roster.
- This standard form will be issued to the teams by their State Association
- This standard form will be processed by the team’s State Association
Referee Game Fees: Each team will be responsible for bringing to the field their half of the referee game fee.
Premier Flight Semi-Finals and Finals:
- The top four (4) teams will compete in the Semi-Finals
- The winners of the Semi-Finals will advance to the Finals
- Champions of the Premier Flight both girls and boys will represent Region I at the US Youth Soccer Director’s Cup Championships to be held August 8-10, 2003 at the Lawrence complex in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Division I Flight Sub-Section Play Off:- The first place team in each sub-sections of an age group both boys and girls will play each other to determine their section’s champion
- The Champion of each section will advance to the Division I Flight’s Semi-Finals and Finals
Division I Flight Semi-Finals and Finals:
- The four section champions of each age group both boys and girls will advance to the Semi-Finals.
- The winners of the Semi-Finals will advance to the Finals
- Champions of the Division I Flight both girls and boys will represent Region I at the US Youth Soccer Director’s l Cup Championships to be held August 8-10, 2003 at the Lawrence complex in Indianapolis, Indiana.
NOTE: The Semi-Finals and Finals for the Region I Summer League for both flights (boys and girls) would require a 12-field complex. Maximum 112 teams in both the Premier Flight and in the Division I Flight. There would be 45 games on Day One and 28 games on Day two.
Application Deadline Date: All applications for both the Premier Flight and the Division I Flight are to be received on or before Monday, March 31, 2003. All applications would be sent to the Region I Premier League Administrator. Upon receiving the applications they will be copied and distributed to the appropriate State Associations.
Once applications have been received, the state associations in each section would rate the teams to determine which should play in each sub-section. The final decision of acceptance would rest with the Region.
