The Parkland Area Soccer Club (PASC) was formed as a soccer-only club in 2004 and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. It is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA). The goal of PASC was to combine the experience and resources of two long-standing programs to become the leading soccer club in the area.
The PASC coaching staff is headed by a committee of at least (2) United States Youth Soccer Association “A” licensed coaches, who will provide a consistent and comprehensive training curriculum. These coaches have extensive experience at the youth, high school, and regional levels. The focus is to help all coaches provide the highest level of training appropriate for their team, from age Under-5 intramural to Under-19 travel. This will ultimately help the players achieve their individual goals. These goals include learning/enjoying the sport of soccer with their friends in a recreational environment to competing at a higher level such as the high school, Olympic Development Program and even collegiate level.
Membership for our inaugural season (Spring 2005) was over 1,100 players. Today, our membership reaches close to 2,600 players per calendar year. Participants in our program range in age from 4 years through 19 years of age. PASC players reside primarily in the North Whitehall, South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships and attend the Parkland Area School District or local parochial schools. We also have players residing from Northwestern, Bethlehem, Salisbury and surrounding areas.
From season to season we have around 70 teams playing at the developmental and recreational level and around 25 teams playing at the highest travel level appropriate for a particular team. Developmental teams include players from 5 to 8 years of age and will participate in the PASC In-House soccer league. These age groups play on fields located in North Whitehall, South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships. Recreational players age 9 and above play on teams that participate in the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL) which is comprised of soccer clubs primarily located in Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
Travel teams can participate in any one of the following travel leagues based on their level of play: Lehigh Valley Youth Soccer League (LVYSL), Upper Bucks Soccer League (UBSL), DELCO Soccer League (DELCO), Philadelphia Area Girls Soccer (PAGS), Inter-County Soccer League (ICSL) and Council Rock Spring League (CRSL). Travel teams also regularly compete in various indoor and outdoor tournaments year-round within eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as State Cup. The majority of the travel teams play in the Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
