Dear RB Families,

I am sure you have had the chance to read the introductory email from our new President, John O’Connor. It is my hope you feel the excitement surrounding our program as we begin a major overhaul of our park/playing fields. Healthy programs such as Ridge Beverly Baseball & Softball not only benefit our children, but our home values and neighborhood over-all.

The Chicago Park District has made major strides in the past few weeks at both Beverly and Munroe Parks as we move in the direction of having the best public facilities the City of Chicago has to offer!

With that, we need funding. Our RB account (while still in the black) has minimal funds. We are partnering with Double Good Popcorn which has worked with schools like Mount Carmel, St. Laurence, St. Rita, and Brother Rice which have netted the schools over 200k in the past twelve months.

Double Good is made to order gourmet popcorn based out of Burr Ridge, Illinois. I have personally used DG for fundraising needs and the results were phenomenal. It is easy and you as a parent will NEVER handle any product or collect any money.

Each family is encouraged to open one pop-up store through the DG app. The Double Good platform is 100% virtual. You will receive a code from RB (that you will input) that will connect all your sales to you.  You then share the link through ALL your social media outlets and through text. Based on previous successful fundraisers, texting the link to family and friends is the most successful. As you can see there are many ways to be successful during this event. We encourage all families to build their stores ASAP, but it will not be sharable for sales until Oct 10th at 3pm. It is our goal to have 300 families participating in this event.

With this event being so important to the vitally of our program, we do feel obligated to giving back to families. Wanting to be fully transparent with our families, Ridge Beverly will get .50 of every dollar sold. So, if you sell 1,000 in product, Ridge Beverly will get 500.00. We have structured an incentive program for those families who meet and exceed expectations.

Below is a simple table showing what we will be doing for those top selling families:

$500.00 in sales will be a $50 reduction in registration fees for your family

$1,000.00 in sales will be a $100 reduction in registration fees for your family

$1,500.00 in sales will be a $150 reduction in registration fees for your family

$2,000.00 in sales will be a $200 reduction in registration fees for your family

In addition, the top 5 selling families will receive a Ridge Beverly Adult “swag bag”. Our swag bag will include 2 sweatshirts, 2 t-shirts, and 2 hats.

Our goals are high, and it will take a lot of hard work, but the rewards will benefit our children and our neighborhood for years to come. This product is not cheap but remember, you get what you pay for and this is the best I have ever had.

I hope that you and your family will be on-board with our plan and help Ridge Beverly reach new heights…this is just the beginning!
