Danny L. Beamer
• NSCAA Regional Technical Director for VA, MD, DC, and WVA. In charge of all NSCAA non-residential coaching courses.

Danny has been with the Roanoke Star club since it started in 1986. He came from Greensboro, NC where he was the director for the Greensboro Buccaneers. He coached 6 state champion teams there and in 1984 both of the teams he coached were state champions. Danny has been involved with the Olympic Development Program in both North Carolina and Virginia. He has coached many players who are playing collegiate soccer, including scholarship players at the NCAA Division 1 level and professional players.

Director of Coaching:
Graham Maclean
Our Director of Coaching is a native of Dunblane, Scotland. He arrived in the States in August 1996 in New Orleans. Graham worked at the New Orleans Soccer Academy for 7 years, 4 of which were spent as Girls Director of Coaching and more recently, as the Boys Director of Coaching. In his time at NOSA Graham was the coach of 9 State Championship winning teams and 6 runners up. Many of the players that he has worked with have moved on to play at a higher level in the college game and PDL.
Graham is an “A” Licensed coach with USSF as well as holding the NSCAA Premier Diploma and Director of Coaching Diploma. He also has the Scottish Football Association E, D and C licenses.
Graham is delighted to be in Roanoke with his family, wife Karen and 3 daughters; Chloe, Emma and Mia.

Academy Director:
Alan Crowder
Alan enters his fourth season with Roanoke Star and is an extremely enthusiastic coach. Alan has previously worked with our younger girls' team and did a great job developing the technical and tactical aspects of their game. He holds the USSF "C" License and National Diploma from NSCAA. He has also been the Assistant Boys Soccer Coach with Salem High School for two seasons. Alan was a former star player that grew up in Salem, VA. He graduated from Bridgewater College with a BA double majored in Allied Health Science and Nutrition/Wellness. Alan's main duties will be working with the U6 to U12 Boys and Girls.
