Congratulations to our U12 Boys ( playing U13), coached by Jeff Joxenberger,  for advancing to the Semi Finals in Region Cup Play this past weekend.   The boys beat Brandon 2-1 in a tough fought match.  Goals were scored by Kyle Tucker and Addiason Iannacio.    The team plays East Pasco this weekend for their chance to play in the finals.  We wish you all the best of luck!!

Alex coached Palm Harbor University High to their 3rd Class 5A State Championship by beating Freedom High 2-1 in the finals. Coach Alex was a player with Palm Harbor when they won their first State Championship. Alex was named Pinellas County High School Coach of the year for the 2nd year. Ryan VanSchaick from the RSL U16 team was part of the winning team this year.  He played with the team from 1999-2003.  He went on to play at UT for 3 years.  He has coached at Palm Harbor for 2 years and has coached at RSL for 4 years.  He is currently the coach of the U11 boy's team that advanced to the second round of Region Cup last weekend and he coaches the U16 boys who hope to have a great showing in State Cup.  Way to go Alex!       

Congratulations to RSL Florida's U18 Boys, U18 Girls,  U15 Girls and U15 Boys for their wins at Score at the Shore this past weekend in Tampa.  We are very proud of all of teams that participated!
Congratulations also to the U9 Academy boys for taking first place in the Plant City President's Day Tournament..Way to go!!
 

Wesley Gussman, from RSL U14 Boys, was chosen to play on the Region III ODP team in Mexico in March.
Jordan Johnson, from RSL U17 Girls, was chosen to play on the Region III ODP team in Portugal.  Jordan has committted to FSU in 2010. 
Annick McBryar, from RSL U18 Girls, was chosen to play on Region III ODP team in Brazil in April.  Annick has committed to UF. 
RSL Florida is very proud of these players and wish them the best of luck!  

The diminutive attacking player for RSL Florida in the Tampa area, Gussman is a thinking man's player for the way he anticipates, reads and creates on the field. Best used by his club coach Eddie Oyakhilome as a withdrawn forward, Gussman also excelled at last summer's USSF National ID camp and at the Thanksgiving Interregional held by U.S. Youth Soccer ODP.  read more ...
