Welcome to the 17th annual California Cup™ tournament presented by San Juan Soccer Club. Our club, parents, and generous sponsors, Nike and Coca-Cola, are looking forward to providing your team with another great summer of competition. California Cup™ is a Division 1 US Club Soccer sanctioned tournament open to USYSA, all USSF affiliates and international FIFA teams.
California Cup has grown substantially over the last sixteen years and 2009 is proving to be no exception. The tournament committee continues to improve the depth of teams participating in our event and is proud to have accepted teams from Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Hawaii, Cal South, and an international team from Brisbane, Australia. On behalf of all those involved, thank you for making 2009 our greatest production yet. For a list of clubs in attendance, please see our Accepted Teams link.
New for 2009, California Cup is adding to the festive environment by hosting a venue for U9 and U10 boys and girls teams. Jr. Cal Cup was created out of recognition and appreciation for the effort and spirit our younger teams exhibit. Both age groups will compete for the right to be crowned Jr. Cal Cup Champion while spectators enjoy a display of the highest quality youth soccer. Jr. Cal Cup is a two day event (Saturday-Sunday only) held the same weekends as California Cup. Saturday games are played at a dedicated U9-U10 venue, and then moved to our tournament headquarters Sunday where games will be played in the atmosphere of championship matches for the older age groups. Champions and Finalists will receive medals at an official award ceremony; the champion also claims our prestigious cup trophy.
