The 2nd Annual New England Super Camp is July 21 - 25, 2008

Scorpions Soccer Club is excited to present the 2nd annual Scorpions Residential Camp, known as the New England Super Camp. We are inviting and encouraging all of next years U11-U16 Scorpions teams to attend. It is going to be a special week. Here is some more camp information:

The camp will be held from July 21st-25th at Bridgewater State College. Check in is Monday morning and check out is Friday afternoon. The campus is very nice and very safe. The fields are good, the dorms are very nice. We have access to pools, gyms, and auditoriums. In addition to the coaches, we will have additional staff supervision in dorms. Boys and girls will be separated in the dorms. The camp was an unbelievable experience last year.
Yankee United and Stars are the primary clubs participating in the camp with us. Individual teams from other clubs will be attending as well.

Scorpion teams will train with their coach during the day and then get together for games in the late afternoon/evenings. If a Scorpion team coach can’t attend NESC, we will hire a quality coach for the week. We will also bring in teams from outside the camp for evening competition, such as other local club teams, ODP teams, etc. The camp will emphasize team preparation, skill building and tactical improvement when we are on the fields. Off the field team building, camaraderie, relaxation and fun will be the focus. All the fun activities of a Residential Camp will be present: lip syncs, talent shows, trivia, and movie nights!
Here is how a typical day will be scheduled:

7:15am: Wake up/morning run

8:00am: Breakfast

8:45am: Technical session

11:00am: Free time

12:00pm: Lunch/free time

1:30pm: Tactical session

4:00pm: Swim at the indoor pool or Film session (previous nights game)

5:00pm: Dinner

6:00pm: Evening game

8:30pm: Night activities such as Movie Night and Talent Show

9:30pm: Snacks (pizza, ice cream) and hang out with your friends, new friends from other
clubs and teammates

10:00pm: Lights Out

The total cost will be only $375 per player. The club is not doing it as a moneymaker, this price covers the costs and that's it. We want as many players and teams to go as possible, and turn this into a truly special week, one that the kids will never forget for the rest of their lives. Each player will receive two camp T's. There will be athletic trainers on site dedicated to the Scorpion teams. We are purchasing insurance for the camp.

We are hoping that all our U11-16 teams will attend, one of the reasons we kept the cost so low. If certain teams do not commit to attending we will try to place members of those teams who do wish to attend.
