SLU Half Century Team
The Saint Louis University department of athletics unveiled the Billiken Half-Century Team, which was selected by the public via an online vote.  Congratulations to following SLSG Alumni / Coaches for making the list! Austin Panchot
Austin Panchot of the St.Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club U-13 Elite team was recently invited to the 2009 id2 US National teams program, which was held this past week in Zarephath, N.J. A team of the best 18 boys’ players from the Training Camp will have the opportunity to take a post-event international trip to the Netherlands and Germany, where the squad will have the opportunity to experience the day-to-day culture of some of the world’s most well-known professional clubs while also improving themselves on the field via high-level training and game competition.  For Saturday Soccer Report audio stream of this accomplishment click here. 

STL HOF Future Stars
Congratulations to the following SLSG players for being awarded as St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame's Future Stars: Breanna Beine - Francis Howell Central High School, Kelley Gravlin - Incarnate Word High School, Jon Roeckle - Vianney High School, Sito Sasieta - Chaminade High School, Logan Ream - St. Dom High.  

Klein and Davis
Congratulations to SLSG Alumni Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo and Chris Klein (LA Galaxy) for making it to the MLS Western Conference Finals. Both players grew up with the club and both players started and played 90 minutes in the MLS Quarterfinal matches.  The LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo prevailed over Chivas USA and Seattle Sounders FC, respectively, in what were remarkably physical, heated, emotional and exciting Western Conference Semifinal Series.  The game will be played on ESPN2 at 9PM this Friday November 13.  For more on this match up - click here 

Brad Davis
Congratulations to SLSG Alum and current Houston Dynamo midfielder, Brad Davis. Brad scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in the Dynamo's 3-2 victory over Real Salt Lake on Sept. 19. His efforts on the field garnered him Major League Soccer's Player of the Week for Week 27 of the 2009 season. This was Davis' third career MLS Player of the Week award. Brad was a 2009 MLS All-Star & is having one the best seasons of his eight-year MLS career, nearing his career best totals with 5 goals & 10 assists. Grieshaber / Clancy
This week STLsoccer.net is awarding a Co-Player of the Week to two members of the St.Louis Scott Gallagher U14 Academy State and Regional Championship team - Keith Grieshaber and Sean Clancy. Keith, a forward for the team, scored one goal in each game of Missouri State Cup, two goals in the Region 2 semifinals for the 2-0 win, and had the game winning goal in the Region finals for the 1-0 victory over the Michigan Wolves. Sean, the goalkeeper for the team, did not allow a goal throughout the entire Missouri Cup and Region Two Championship series, posting an impressive eight shutouts. Taylor Twellman
SLSG Alumni and New England Revolution forward Taylor Twellman hit 100 career goals this month.  He netted number 100 and 101in the Revolution’s 4-0 victory over the on Sunday, June 7.  Taylor the youngest player (29 years, 100 days) and fastest player (174 games) to reach the century mark in league history. Ashlee Pistorius
Congratulations to St. Louis Scott Gallagher's Ashlee Pistorius for her role playing for Saint Louis Athletica.  Ashlee's is a SLSG club member and with the club won four state championships, two regional championships and also finished the 2001 and 2002 seasons as national runners-up. Kati Jo Spisak
Congratulations to St. Louis Soccer Club / Texas A&M alum and current goalkeeper for the Washington Freedom, Kati Jo Spisak. She attended Parkway South High School, and grew up playing for the St.Louis Soccer Club.  This past January, Kati Jo was selected by the Washington Freedom and has become the starting goalkeeper. read more ...

Alyssa Mautz
SLSG's Alyssa Mautz & the U.S. U20 Women’s National Team defeated Korea to win the 2008 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. Alyssa is a Ft. Zumwalt West alumni, current Texas A&M forward and grew up in St.Louis playing with St. Louis Scott Gallagher where she helped lead her team to 10 consecutive state titles.  read more ...

Vedad Ibiševic
The Male 2008 STLsoccer.net Player of the Year went to Roosevelt High School Alumni, St. Louis Scott Gallagher Alumni and former St. Louis University All-American forward Vedad Ibiševic. Before an injury knocked him out, Vedad was the top scorer of the Fußball-Bundesliga 2008-09 season. Ibiševic recorded 18 goals in the first 17 games and lead Hoffenheim to the top of the league table.  read more ...

Nick Maglasang
Nick Maglasang, a St.Louis University High School senior, was recently named 2008 Soccer Player of the Year by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and also received All-American honors by the NSCAA. Maglasang, who will be playing for the SLU Billikens in the fall, is a member of the U18 St.Louis Scott Gallagher Academy team,  read more ...
