Vermont Soccer Association State Select Team Open Tryouts 
The Vermont Olympic Development Program is part of the US Youth Soccer Association ODP, a national identification program designed to identify and develop the most talented 12-17 year old soccer players and give them the opportunity to represent their state, region, and country through state, regional, inter-regional and international competitions.

Early Bird Online registration is a discounted $25 and is available until midnight on Thursday, November 5.  All players after that date will need to register on-site and pay $35 registration fee payable by cash or check ONLY to VSA.  No credit cards accepted on site or after the November 5 deadline.

MIA HAMM COMING TO VERMONT!! Minimize

Vermont Soccer Association and Mia Hamm
Have Teamed Up for Vermont Soccer’s 2009 Fundraiser!

Vermont Soccer Association is pleased and honored to introduce Mia Hamm to Vermont.   Mia Hamm is not only the five-time recipient of the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year award she is also an individual dedicated to raising funds and awareness for two very personal causes: research for bone marrow diseases and the encouragement and empowerment of young female athletes. Together, we hope to generate revenue and awareness for Vermont Soccer Association, Stern Center for Language and Learning, Cancer Patient Support Program, Vermont Top Soccer and the Mia Hamm Foundation.

As a player, family member, or interested spectator you, too, can participate in this fundraiser and even meet Mia Hamm!

When you raise:

• $50, you will receive a flexible wrist band engraved with Mia Hamm’s “Play Hard Play Fair” message and a congratulatory thank you letter from her.
• $150, you will receive an event-customized soccer ball.
• $250, you and a guest, will be invited to the Soccer Showcase with Mia in Vermont.  The Soccer   Showcase is scheduled for April or May, 2010 in Vermont.  Ample notice will be given.

The top:
• 100 fundraisers will be invited, with a guest, to the private “VIP Meet & Greet with Mia Hamm” that’s part of the Soccer Showcase.
• 10 fundraisers with a guest will be invited to an exclusive sit down chat with Mia Hamm that’s also part of the Soccer Showcase.
• Team, including the coach, raising funds will be invited with their guests to the VIP Meet & Greet with Mia Hamm.

Note: All team members must register for the fundraiser and raise a minimum of $50 each for the team to be eligible.

TOP Soccer 2009 Minimize
Vermont Soccer Association invites any school-aged student with disabilities (ages 4-21) to join a soccer program designed to encourage their participation and enjoyment of this great sport.

Top Soccer is a nationally recognized program that matches disabled athletes with peer/mentors to experience the game of soccer in a new way.

This is a 6 week program, held on Sunday afternoons from 1:30-3:00, at the Tree Farm Recreational Facility in Essex Junction beginning Sunday September 13th, ending Saturday October 17th. (The last week will be held on a Saturday instead of Sunday).  In case of inclement weather, an indoor facility will be used.

Registration is simple.  Print the application form, fill it out completely, send it with a check for $25  made out to Vermont Soccer Association (scholarships are available) to:

You will receive confirmation of your registration by email as soon as it is received.

If you prefer in person registration, please come to Essex Junction High School, Room C101 on Thursday, September 3 between 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
