The Vermont State Cup is Vermont’s premier youth soccer event. The 2008 champions in u12 thru u19 divisions will go on to represent Vermont at the Regional Championships in Portland, Maine. Preliminary, quarter-final, and some semi-final matches will be scheduled May 16, 17, and 18. The final’s weekend will be May 31 and June 1. The state’s qualifying league for the tournament is D-1 of the VSL (Vermont Soccer League). Other qualifying leagues are the Region 1 League. State rosters and player passes will be inspected at all matches. For the final weekend only, teams will need to present all Regionals paperwork which will be posted on VSA website. Tournament seeds will be drawn on February 16 and the brackets will be announced at the VSA Annual General Meeting on March 8 at the Soccer Center.
